MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): The Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) government has announced a plan to launch a health card initiative for citizens in the next fiscal year 2025-26.
This decision was made during a meeting of the parliamentary party of the coalition government, chaired by Prime Minister Chaudhry Anwarul Haq.
In the meeting, the members of parliament expressed complete and full confidence in the leadership of the incumbent Azad Kashmir Prime Minister.
As per details, the health cards will provide citizens with access to free medical facilities, aiming to alleviate the financial burden of healthcare costs.
The government plans to allocate funds for the health card initiative in the upcoming budget for the next financial year.
Furthermore, the parliamentary party meeting discussed the strategy regarding the upcoming budget. The meeting also reiterated its commitment to take effective steps to highlight the Kashmir issue.
It was agreed in the meeting that the current government will complete the ongoing construction and development projects, as soon as possible.
The meeting expressed its determination to ensure equal distribution of all development funds in the budget.
It should be remembered that a day before the budget presentation last year, the Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir, Chaudhry Anwarul Haq, had announced the issuance of health cards from the state’s resources.
A line was added in the budget copy that the health card will be restored in the current financial year, but no money was allocated for the health card.
