Azad Kashmir Minister gives ‘Sadaqah’ for President Zardari’s recovery

MIRPUR (Kashmir English): Azad Kashmir Minister for Mangla Dam and Mangla Dam Housing Authority Chaudhry Qasim Majeed donated a goat [Sadaqah] and prayed for the recovery of President Asif Ali Zardari.

Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader voluntary charited the goat at the People’s Secretariat in Chakswari, Mirpur, the government’s Press Information Department (PID) said.

On this occasion, the government minister said that President Zardari is a great asset to the country and nation. “He has played an important role in making Pakistan strong and stable.”

Chaudhry Qasim prayed to Allah Almighty for Zardari’s perfect health.

Earlier on April 1, President Asif Ali Zardari was shifted to a private hospital in Karachi after his health deteriorated and he was being brought over from Nawabshah.

In a statement on Wednesday, The President House confirmed that Zardari has tested positive for coronavirus and is currently in isolation.

The president’s personal physician, Dr Asim Hussain, was quoted as saying in the statement that following multiple tests, it was confirmed that Zardari tested positive for Covid-19.

“The president is suffering from coronavirus, and he has been advised to remain in isolation at this time,” Dr Hussain said. “A team of experts is taking care of the president, and his condition is improving.”
