MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): The Azad Kashmir Education Department on Wednesday announced the two-month summer vacations for all government and private schools in the summer districts of the state.
According to the notification, the vacations will commence on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, a day after the Eid-ul-Adha holidays end on June 9. The summer holidays will then culminate on August 11, 2025.
Furthermore, it stated that educational institutions designated as winter institutions will remain open during this period.
“All educational institutions under the Elementary and Secondary Education Department will celebrate Independence Day on August 14, 2025, with grand festivities,” it read.
Earlier, the Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) government announced a four-day public holiday on the occasion of Eid al-Adha from Friday, June 6 to Monday, June 9, 2025.
The notification regarding the Eid al-Adha holidays was issued by the Services & General Administration Department in Muzaffarabad on Tuesday.
