MUZFFARABAD (Kashmir English): Azad Kashmir Food Authority banned 27 bottled water brands across Azad Kashmir after the Pakistan Council of Research in Water Resources declared them unsafe for consumption.

The Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Food Authority has imposed a ban on the sale of 27 bottled water brands across the region after they were declared unsafe for consumption by the Pakistan Council of Research in Water Resources (PCRWR).

Public health took precedence when PCRWR released findings which proved that these water brands fell short of safety requirements and presented possible health risks for consumers. AJK Food Authority issued a ban against all local markets to stop the distribution and sales of these water brands.
