MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): A crucial meeting of the Azad Kashmir cabinet was held on Tuesday evening, chaired by Prime Minister Chaudhry Anwarul Haq.

The meeting comes after police employees’ protests and the disqualification of government minister Sardar Mir Akbar.

The cabinet likely made significant decisions regarding police employees’ demands, which led to a strike in Azad Kashmir. The government had assured to fulfill their demands within two days.

The cabinet also strategized on the implications of Sardar Mir Akbar’s disqualification, and unanimous resolutions were passed during the meeting, addressing various issues.

According to the government’s press information department, Senior Minister Col. Retired Waqar Noor, Finance Minister Abdul Majid Khan, and Law Minister Mian Abdul Waheed will brief the media about the cabinet decisions today, July 23.

The meeting was attended by the IG Azad Kashmir and other high-ranking officials.
