NEELUM VALLEY (Kashmir English): The Assistant Commissioner of Neelum Valley, Raja Bilal, led a crackdown against transport and shopkeepers with irregular documents.
Accompanied by a police contingent, the authorities checked public service vehicles plying on Neelum Highway for fitness papers, overloading, and excessive fare collection.
Strict action will be taken against vehicles found violating these regulations, the official said.
The team also took strict action against juvenile drivers during the check, emphasizing the importance of adhering to the law.
The authorities inspected guest houses, checking rooms and kitchens, and also monitored bakeries to ensure compliance with regulations, including the weight of bread.
Assistant Commissioner Raja Bilal and DSP Sardar Fayyaz Sarwar warned that those violating the law would face legal action.
They emphasized the importance of morality, cleanliness, and adherence to regulations, stating that “cleanliness is half faith” and that violators would be held accountable.
The authorities have announced that regular checks will be conducted to ensure compliance with regulations, and those found violating the law will face fines, warnings, or other penalties.
