NEW YORK (Kashmir English): The tech giant Apple has issued a software update to patch a security flaw impacting its iPhones and other products.

Experts have warned users to get the update immediately if they want to protect all their devices from hacker attacks.

Apple said that the company was aware that the flaw could be used as a very sophisticated attack against specific individuals.

However, the company did not provide details about the people affected by the attack. These attacks are usually carried out against campaigners, journalists, and other professionals whose devices are of interest to hackers.

According to the company, this update is related to ImageIO. This is a framework that the iPhone uses to process images. Hackers can use the infected image to enter the phone.

The version of this update released for the iPhone is iOS 18.6.2

However, Apple has revealed several new and attractive colors for the iPhone 17 series, expected to be launched in September 2025.

The expected iPhone 17 models include the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max.

The iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max will come in orange for the first time.

The colors revealed in the leaks for the Pro models include a professional-looking black, a premium-looking dark blue, a shimmering silver, and a captivating new color, orange. The orange color will be seen on the Playbar Pro series.

The orange color is the biggest surprise of this leak, which has not been seen on any Pro model before. This is likely to be a new experiment in the world of Apple colors.
