Alpine association sets target to plant 30,000 trees in year 2025

BAGH (Kashmir English): In a recent development, the President of Alpine Association and Chairman of Public Action Forum Azad Kashmir Raja Nisar Ahmed Shahique has inaugurated the tree plantation campaign in the Ghani Abad.

Speaking on the occasion, Raja Nisar Ahmed Shahique stressed the importance of tree plantation regarding climate change, requesting the public to plant as many trees as they can and to protect the trees.

Raja Nisar Ahmed Shahique announced that the Alpine Club has set a target to plant 30,000 trees this year and special targets have been given to all club members.

Additionally, He thanked hikers and bikers from all over Pakistan who participate in the Nanga Pir Festival, especially President Raja Abdul Wahid Advocate, President of Sawar Adventure Club Muhammad Ali Young, Chairman of Bikers Club Pakistan Khalid Cheema, Jahanno Pakistan, Tabco Star Agri Rawalakot businessman Sardar Azhar Azad and various business companies for providing one million trees.

Furthermore, Raja Nisar Ahmed Shahique thanked all the donors and helpers, especially Raja Abdul Jabbar, who played an important role in obtaining the saplings and transporting them to the designated places.

He announced that the tree plantation campaign would be continued in a better manner in Union Councils Chazan, Reerban, Salmiya, Katkir, Rangla, and Maloot.

He added that not only tree plantation would be promoted in the Union Councils at the foot of Nanga Pir, but also individuals and institutions involved in tree plantation would be awarded prizes after Eid, for which a team has been formed under the supervision of Agriculture Officer Chaudhry Zubair.

On this occasion, it was also announced to organize an important workshop for the active members of the Alpahin Club and farmers.
