MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): The All Parties Conference (APC) of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) political parties, hosted by the Prime Minister of AJK Faisal Mumtaz Rathore, has begun at the Prime Minister’s House in Muzaffarabad.
The presidents and general secretaries of all registered political parties in AJK have been participating in the conference to discuss the current situation in the region, including the protest call of the Joint Awami Action Committee (JAAC), the matter of refugee seats, and important issues.
As per details, President PML-N AJK Shah Ghulam Qadir and General Secretary Chaudhry Tariq Farooq, President PPP AJK Chaudhry Muhammad Yasin, President Muslim Conference Sardar Attique Khan, and PTI Azad Kashmir leader Abdul Majid Khan are attending the conference.
Moreover, former prime ministers Raja Farooq Haider Khan, Sardar Hassan Ibrahim, Sardar Yaqoob Khan, former AJK President Sardar Masood Khan, and MLA Javed Butt are present on the occasion.
Other attendees include Noor Al-Bari of Jamaat-e-Islami, Raja Jahangir, Qazi Mahmoodul Hassan of All Jammu and Kashmir Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam, Khawaja Manzoor Qadir of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation League, Syed Yasir Abbas of Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen (MWM), and Imtiaz Siddiqui of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Jammu and Kashmir.
Talking to the media before the high-level APC, former Prime Minister Sardar Attique said that the Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir’s call for the All Parties Conference is a very welcome move.
He clarified that there is already a consensus among all parties on many important issues in the region. Sardar Attique further said that the opinion of all parties will be included in this All Parties Conference; therefore, now it is necessary for all leaders to sit together and create more consensus and pave the way for free and transparent elections in the region.
