NEELUM VALLEY (Kashmir English): On the instructions of the Chief Secretary of Azad Kashmir, the Population Welfare Department is set to organize a free family planning camp in Sharda in the third decade of August.
Director General Population Welfare, Dr. Sardar Aftab, will inaugurate the Implanon NXT camp. Free contraceptives and other reproductive health-related advice and facilities will be provided.
Detailed awareness sessions will also be given on the benefits of family planning, mother and child health, and population balance.
In the Implanon NXT camp, a team under the supervision of an expert lady doctor will provide useful advice to family planning and general clients.
FWW and social mobilizers have been tasked to make women aware of the importance and benefits of the Implanon NXT camp.
Earlier, Population Welfare Department Officer Arif Khan, while presiding over a meeting of the social mobilizer regarding the organization of the camp, said that family planning is very essential for population balance, mother and child health. Family planning is the guarantee of a happy family.
He said that in the last decade of August 2025, the subdivision will organize a big family planning camp in Sharda, which will include new clients and general check-ups related to reproductive health.
The Prime Minister is taking practical steps to maintain the health of mother and child and population balance with the special efforts of Azad Kashmir.
Additionally, he announced that the role of electronic, print, and social media is very important for the awareness campaign.
FWW, social mobilizers should inform as many women about the importance and usefulness of free family planning camps so that they can benefit from the medical camps organized at the government level.
