NEELUM (Kashmir English): In a recent visit to Upper Neelum‘s Kel area, the Azad Kashmir Information Minister Maulana Pir Muhammad Mazhar Saeed Shah visited Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Kel.
The Information Minister there made announcements for hiring doctors on a contractual basis in an attempt to enhance health care facilities within the region.
Pir Mazhar Saeed Shah visited the admitted patients, including emergency patients, and inquired about the treatment facilities available to them and reviewed the medical facilities.
On this occasion, the Information Minister said that the provision of quality health facilities to the people of Upper Neelum by the Azad Kashmir government during severe weather conditions is proof that the health sector is one of our top priorities.
The government has given a historic health package to provide health facilities to the people. Doctors are being recruited on contract to meet the shortage of doctors in hospitals.
He said that 24/7 emergency services in hospitals including Rescue 1122 will be further improved during accidents. The patients admitted to the hospital welcomed the surprise visit of the Information Minister.
It should be remembered that more than 4,000 contract and temporary employees in Azad Kashmir are in dire need of permanent jobs, while the government is not deciding their future despite establishing a committee, but once again there is talk of recruiting doctors on contract.
