MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): In a welcome move, the Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir Chaudhry Anwarul Haq has ordered an uninterrupted supply of electricity during the holy month of Ramadan.
The PM has given directives that an uninterrupted electricity supply should be ensured in every possible way during the working hours of Sehri and Iftar in Ramadan.
Additionally, in a meeting with Secretary Electricity, Ushr, and Zakat Irshad Ahmed Qureshi, Prime Minister Chaudhry Anwarul Haq was briefed on the timely provision of Zakat to the deserving people.
Chaudhry Anwarul Haq directed Secretary Ushr and Zakat to provide immediate help for cases involving fatal diseases and ensure immediate payment so that timely treatment facilities can be provided to the victims of fatal diseases.
He said that the protection of human life is a duty, and all available resources should be utilized to protect human lives.
Moreover, the Prime Minister directed the Secretary of Electricity to ensure transparent procurement of 50,000 meters under e-tendering at all costs and to take all possible steps to restore the electricity supply in the summer season.
