MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir, Chaudhry Anwarul Haq, has strongly condemned the demands of the Joint Awami Action Committee (JAAC), stating that they align with India’s agenda and cannot be supported by any Kashmiri who loves their homeland.

Talking in an exclusive interview with Kashmir Digital, the premier criticized the group for opposing the Pakistan Army, questioning their legitimacy and asking if they have ever contested elections.

“The road closure is a loss for the common citizens of Azad Kashmir,” he said, adding that the reality of their so-called peaceful movement has been exposed.

Furthermore, Haq warned the Awami Action Committee that any attempt to undermine the ideology of Kashmir or the Kashmir issue will be met with strong resistance from proud Kashmiris.

“Launching violent movements, damaging government property, and demanding the abolition of refugee seats may be part of India’s conspiracy, but no patriotic Kashmiri can support such actions.”

Answering a question, PM Anwarul Haq said that his government has carried out major reforms in Azad Kashmir, including improving the road infrastructure and building 3300 kilometers of roads.

We have completed 60% of the work in just two years and four months, which usually takes five years to complete, he added. “These steps are crucial for promoting tourism and creating employment opportunities across the state.”

In addition to that, he stated that our government has given a health package and is bringing an education package.

The Prime Minister added that the health package has been released for the public, with a billion rupees allocated for health cards this year. Additionally, millions of rupees have been allocated for machinery and medicines in hospitals.

Moreover, he told Kashmir Digital that the education package is set to be announced soon, with educational institutions being updated and free education being provided in Azad Kashmir.

“Three billion rupees have been allocated for the youth loan program to support young entrepreneurs.”

He also announced the plans to schedule the Bank of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (BAJK), further highlighting the government’s commitment to economic development.
