MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir, Chaudhry Anwarul Haq, on Wednesday issued directives to all departments to immediately address public issues, the PID said in a statement.

During an important high-level meeting in Muzaffarabad, the premier directed the government officials to ensure that citizens are kept informed about government measures through social media and other communication platforms.

The meeting was attended by Senior Minister Col. (R) Waqar Ahmed Noor, Chief Secretary Khushal Khan, and secretaries from various government departments.

During the meeting, the Prime Minister emphasized that the government is actively working on administrative reforms and wherever urgent action is required, immediate steps will be taken.

PM Haq directed that all official matters must be carried out strictly under the rules of business, stressing that “we all have to take responsibility and light our share of the lamp.”

Chaudhry Anwarul Haq further reiterated the government’s commitment to improve administrative efficiency, strengthen governance, and implement rationalization for better performance across departments.

Furthermore, he said that the cabinet bears full responsibility for governance, and reforms are being introduced for political and administrative improvement to ensure the system functions effectively in accordance with the constitution.

He warned that negligence would not be tolerated and called for improving administrative discipline, stating that a “policy of conscious confrontation leads to decay.”

The Prime Minister further said that bureaucracy is the backbone of the system and urged officers to perform their duties with dignity, integrity, and dedication, assuring them of full support from the Prime Minister and the AJK cabinet.

He concluded by reminding participants that the governance system in Azad Kashmir is closely tied to the Kashmir freedom movement, and the coalition government will take all possible measures to improve governance, accountability, and service delivery.
