LONDON (Kashmir English): The Minister for Government of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Ms. Imtiaz Naseem, arrived in London for her eight-day private visit. Upon her arrival at Heathrow Airport, she was given a grand and heartfelt reception by members of the Pakistani and Kashmiri community based in the UK.
A large number of political, social, and community leaders gathered to welcome her with flower bouquets, chants of goodwill, and warm wishes.
Among the prominent figures present at the reception were Raja Shafiq Ahmad Plahlvi, Head of Media Coordination (AJK) for PML-N UK, Dr. Raja Nisar Khan, former Administrator of Chrohui, Raja Fayaz Ahmad, Vice President Youth Wing PML-N UK, Councillor Raja Raheel Khan, Councillor Ch. Ayub (High Wycombe), Councillor Atif Kayani, young political and social leader Raja Taimoor Shaheen, and former President of Press Club Chrohui Raja Nishat Sani, among other notable personalities.
Expressing her heartfelt gratitude for the warm reception, Ms. Imtiaz Naseem said that the love, sincerity, and loyalty of the overseas Kashmiri community is a matter of pride, and she has always valued this deep connection from the heart.
Following the airport welcome, Raja Shafiq Ahmad Plahlvi hosted a grand dinner in honour of the Minister at a well-known hotel in Luton. The dignified event saw the participation of senior PML-N leaders, party workers, and notable members of the Kashmiri community from across the UK.
Attendees at the event included: Raja Shafiq Ahmad Plahlvi, Dr. Raja Nisar Khan, Raja Fayaz Ahmad, Raja Raheel Khan, Ch. Ayub, Atif Kayani, Raja Taimoor Shaheen, Raja Nishat Sani, Senior Vice President PML-N UK Raja Ishtiaq Fareed, Executive Council Member Raja Shakeel, Youth Wing President Hafiz Tauqeer Raja, Raja Zarub, Raja Basheer, Raja Asif, Raja Ameen, Raja Sufyan, Raja Wahid Ismat, and several other key figures.
All those who welcomed the Minister at the airport were also present at the dinner, adding to the grace and unity of the gathering. After the dinner, guests were invited to Raja Shafiq Plahlvi’s residence for a special tea session, where many more community members joined.
On this occasion, participants expressed their deep sorrow and condolences over the recent passing of Raja Shafiq Plahlvi’s mother. A prayer and Fatiha (supplication for the deceased) were offered for the forgiveness and elevation of her soul. Ms. Imtiaz Naseem also expressed her sympathy and prayed that Allah grants her the highest place in Jannah.
These events were not only held in honour of the visiting Minister but also served as a symbol of unity, strong community ties, and shared commitment. The visit of Ms. Imtiaz Naseem has emerged as a heartfelt expression of spiritual and national solidarity among the overseas Kashmiri community in the UK.
