MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): The negotiations between the Azad Jammu Kashmir (AJK) government and local representatives successfully resolved a fund allocation dispute through mutual agreement, ending the deadlock after constructive discussions in Islamabad and Muzaffarabad.

The negotiations between the government’s dialogue committee and local body representatives have successfully concluded. The chairman of the District Council Rawalakot, Sardar Javed Sharif, along with other representatives, reached an agreement with the government’s negotiating team, resolving the longstanding deadlock over the allocation of funds.

The dispute between the Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) government and local representatives over the distribution of funds has now been amicably settled. The impasse regarding municipal representatives’ concerns has been effectively resolved through mutual understanding.

On behalf of the Azad Kashmir government, Minister for Local Government and Rural Development Raja Faisal Mumtaz Rathore led the government’s negotiating team. After continuously talking about this matter for an extended period, negotiations have led to a successful resolution. The deadlock between the two parties concluded when the parties reached their final agreement.

A peaceful atmosphere dominated the meeting, during which the negotiating parties developed an agreement that served both sides equally. Sardar Javed Sharif remains pleased with the outcome while confirming through his statement that both parties will announce the talks’ success on April 8 after meeting with local representatives to discuss the matter specifically.

Sardar Javed Sharif thanked both the Azad Jammu and Kashmir government, along with the negotiating committee for helping to resolve the matters at hand. The dialogical resolution serves as a beneficial model to tackle future concerns that local representatives encounter.

The negotiations’ successful completion creates a major advancement toward enhancing partnership between municipal representatives and the Azad Kashmir government. The sides can move forward to execute the planned measures for monetary distribution and administrative improvements within the region after the fund allocation dispute.
