MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): The Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Legislative Assembly‘s agenda has been released by the assembly secretariat.
In this important session, a no-confidence motion will be presented against Prime Minister Anwarul Haq.
Along with the discussion on this resolution in the house, the process of electing a new leader of the house is also included in the agenda.

According to the agenda released by the AJK Legislative Assembly, the members will decide on a new political map in tomorrow’s session under constitutional and parliamentary requirements, while an extraordinary pace is also being seen in political activities.
Earlier, the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) had submitted a no-confidence motion against Azad Kashmir Prime Minister Chaudhry Anwarul Haq formally in the Azad Kashmir Legislative Assembly Secretariat, marking a significant political turn in the region.
The motion, presented before the Senior Special Secretary Amjad Abbasi, was submitted by the Assembly members – Chaudhry Qasim Majeed, Javed Ayub, and Malik Zafar.
The Members of the Legislative Assembly of Azad Jammu and Kashmir moved this no-confidence motion under Article 18(4) of the Constitution of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, 1974.
The PPP, which had 17 members in the 53-member Assembly, has been joined by the backing of 10 members belonging to Barrister Sultan Group and Forward Bloc, with the support of all nine PML-N members.
In total, support for the no-confidence motion has reached 36 members, though the PPP leadership claims more than 40 votes could be secured in the voting process. If it succeeds, the PPP will come to power in Azad Kashmir for the sixth time in fifty years and bring an end to the tenure of Chaudhry Anwarul Haq.
