LEEPA VALLEY (Kashmir English): Following directives from the Azad Kashmir government and special efforts by Pakistan Army GOC Murree, engineers from various companies including Telenor, Zong, Jazz, and Ufone, under the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority and SCO (Special Communications Organization), visited Leepa Valley.

During the visit, Assistant Commissioner Tehsil Leepa, Syed Qamar Kazmi, accompanied these engineers and showed them different sites in Leepa Valley for the purpose of providing telecommunication services.

Leepa people welcome move

On this occasion, they completed a survey related to providing service from various angles. The local public welcomed the arrival of services from various telecommunication companies, including Telenor, Zong, Jazz, and Ufone, in Leepa.

They stated that if these telecommunication companies provide service in Leepa, the locals will receive better telecommunication services.

Additionally, tourists from all over Pakistan and Azad Kashmir visit Leepa, and the provision of these services will also facilitate tourists and further promote tourism.

On this occasion, the people stated that the impression that SCO was an obstacle to other companies coming to Leepa was incorrect. If SCO were an obstacle, SCO representatives would not have brought these company engineers to Leepa today, they said.

SCO has also offered other companies to use its existing towers and infrastructure in the valley to provide their services to the public.

On this occasion, the people of Leepa Valley thanked the Azad Kashmir government, Pakistan Army GOC Murree, Commander Leepa Guard, DG SCO, SCO Sector Commander Azad Kashmir, high officials of PTA, and Focal Person Assistant Commissioner Tehsil Leepa Syed Qamar Kazmi.

The local public expressed the hope that these telecommunication companies would soon start providing their services in Leepa.
