MUZAFFARABAD: The Additional Deputy Commissioner Muzaffarabad office has issued the new rates for chicken and other essentials, including vegetables and fruits, for August 06 (Wednesday).
According to the notification issued by the Muzaffarabad price controller, the price of live broiler chicken is fixed at Rs. 418 per kilogram.
In addition, breeder chicken meat is priced at Rs. 550 per kilo, while the selling rate of domestic chicken is Rs. 1050 per kg.
Golden chicken has been priced at Rs. 850 per kilogram in the Muzaffarabad district. Prices of eggs per dozen for eggs weighing 40-50 grams have been fixed at Rs. 270 and for those weighing 51-65 grams at Rs. 290
According to the notification, these rates will come into effect today, August 06, 2025.
Shopkeepers will also have to advertise on a hoarding the rate list, which they will be required to display in a conspicuous place.
They are not allowed to keep more than two broiler chicken carcasses for sale at a time. The government has particularly highlighted the significance of keeping shops and markets clean.
