MIRPUR (Kashmir English): The Inland Revenue Department (South Zone), in Azad Kashmir on special instructions from the Chairman Azad Jammu and Kashmir Central Board of Revenue, has taken an important step to facilitate taxpayers by establishing tax facilitation centers in various offices.
According to the spokesperson for the Inland Revenue Department, after the launch of tax returns on the AJK IRIS system, facilitation centers have been established on an emergency basis in all districts of the South Zone to provide technical guidance and assistance to taxpayers.
Staff will be available at all times in the centers to guide and provide technical assistance to taxpayers.
Taxpayers’ issues
Commissioner Inland Revenue Syed Ansar Ali has issued instructions to all officers of Mirpur Division to provide technical assistance and guidance on issues faced by taxpayers.
The Commissioner himself visited various tax facilitation centers established in Mirpur district, reviewed the facilities, and issued instructions to the staff to resolve issues faced by taxpayers. He said that no complaints of any kind should be received in this regard.
Furthermore, the Commissioner has also asked PRAL representatives to be prepared to deal with all kinds of technical issues.
This initiative by the department has been widely welcomed in business and social circles. According to the spokesperson for the Inland Revenue Department, all possible resources will be utilized to address taxpayers’ complaints.
