MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): In a groundbreaking move, the Information Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), Peer Mazhar Saeed Shah, has announced his resignation from his post.

While addressing a press conference, the Information Minister stated that ” I am grateful to all the journalists in Muzaffarabad who cooperated with me during my Information Ministry.

We have done everything possible to provide our services according to national issues and public interests, former Minister Peer Mazhar stated.

Mazhar Shah said that during his tenure at the Information Ministry, he made every effort to make the institution active and effective despite various challenges. According to him, “Whether it was the Bunyan al-Marsoos issue or the November campaign, Allah made us successful on every front.”

He said that during his tenure as the Information Minister, he not only worked on internal fronts but also highlighted the Kashmir issue at the global level. Mazhar Saeed Shah said, “I presented the case of Gaza as well as Kashmir before forty-five countries of the world, and also joined the Global Samood Flotilla where I raised my voice in favor of the people of Gaza to the best of my ability.”

The former Information Minister also thanked the officers and officials of his department who cooperated with him at every opportunity during his tenure. He said that many important steps were possible through teamwork during his tenure, and he always tried to improve the performance of the Information Department.

He said that separation from the ministry is a personal decision that was taken after careful consideration. However, he will continue his efforts in the national interest and public service in the future.
