BAGH (Kashmir English): Information Minister Azad Jammu and Kashmir Maulana Pir Mazhar Saeed Shah has said that no power in the world can stop Palestinians and Kashmiris from the blessing of freedom.
He said that Kashmiris and Palestinian people have confronted powerful regimes and proved that they will not accept any option but freedom.
He expressed these views while addressing as special guest at the annual prize distribution ceremony of Allama Iqbal School Vakulj Bagh.
He said that in this digital age, children need time to equip them with scientific and religious education. He was of the view that modern sciences are essential to counter modern challenges.
Qur’an education Azad Kashmir govt’s priority
He said along with the translation of the Qur’an, education is one of the top priorities of the government.
He also gave shields and medals to the students who took prominent positions and encouraged them to perform the best in future as well.
District Education Officer Sultan Ali Tahir, Principal Ashiq Hussain, Vice Principal Saifullah Shaukat, Raja Sarfraz, Maulana Maqsood Tawhidi, Sardar Siya Khan Councilor, Maulana Luqman, Malik Sarfaraz, Muhammad Yasir, Qari Gulzar, Maulana Sarwar Naqshbandi, Maulana Yasir, Abdullah, and others also addressed the ceremony.
The Minister further said that the government is working to bring about positive changes in the field of worldly education as well as providing facilities to the people.
The government will fully support institutions that are focusing on religious education, he assured.
Vice Principal Saifullah Shaukat thanked the Minister and said, “We are trying to equip children with religious education”.
