MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): Public Relations Officer of the Information Minister, Azad Kashmir, Sardar Naushad, met with the Chief Electricity Officer, Sikandar Mughal, to discuss a proposal for an electricity development scheme in several deprived areas.
The areas include several villages of the Neelum and Jhelum Valley districts. It includes Gumhot, Hajian, Ratta Pani, Ban Tal, Thanda Pani, and Shounter.
Both officials emphasised the inclusion of the electricity supply scheme for the aforementioned areas in the upcoming budget 2025-26.
The electricity-deprived areas will be prioritized in the upcoming schemes, the Chief Electricity Officer said.
Information Minister Maulana Pir Mazhar Saeed Shah is working to provide electricity to the upper areas of the state, the official statement read.
“By expanding the work of the previous government, the citizens deprived of electricity will benefit from the electricity facility in the next fiscal year.”
Information Minister Maulana Pir Mazhar Saeed Shah’s PRO Sardar Naushad said that in the upcoming budget, the electricity facilities will be approved for six villages of the Sharda subdivision under the next budget.
The schemes for the mentioned areas are expected to be launched next week, with budget approval for electricity facilities.
The initiative aims to benefit citizens deprived of electricity and provide them with the basic facility of an electricity supply.
