MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): The Azad Kashmir government has approved the payment of an additional month’s basic salary to all Scale-1 employees across state departments.
As per the details, the President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry, approved the honorarium following the decision taken in the recent cabinet meeting.
The notification has been issued by the Services and General Administration Department.
It should be noted that the newly elected Prime Minister, Raja Faisal Mumtaz Rathore, had announced the payment of one month’s additional salary to Scale-1 employees in his first address to the Legislative Assembly. The premier had also announced the permanent status of all temporary employees of Scale-1.
While addressing the assembly members, Prime Minister Rathore said that government employees are the backbone of the state’s development.
The Pakistan People’s Party has a long-term solution to the state’s problems. The work that could not be done in the last two and a half years was completed by the current government in two and a half weeks, he stated.
