MIRPUR (Kashmir English): The Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Mirpur has issued a clarification regarding news circulating on social media about the termination of its regional liaison offices in Muzaffarabad and Rawalakot.
In a press release issued on Friday, the education board’s spokesperson stated that the news is baseless and contrary to facts.
The BISE Mirpur statement added that the board’s primary objective is to conduct transparent examinations and provide results, as well as offer facilities to students at their doorsteps.
According to the spokesperson of the board, the education board has made most of its services online and has also expanded the procedure for depositing fees and introduced a system of depositing money through Din Bill Invoice, Jazz Cash, and EasyPaisa.
The Mirpur Education Board is going to modernize the examination system for the students of the entire state in the near future.
The board spokesperson said all stakeholders visit the education board website on a daily basis and give effective and actionable suggestions for further reforms in the examination system, which are welcomed.
Earlier on Thursday, the elected representatives of the Municipal Corporation Rawalakot strongly protested the decision to transfer the regional office of the Mirpur board from Rawalakot.
The representatives said that the regional office of the education board is a major source of convenience for thousands of students, parents, teachers, and educational institutions in the Poonch division.
