MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): The Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) government has barred 66 proscribed organizations from collecting sacrificial hides.
The AJK Home Department has warned of strict action for violation of the order.
According to the orders issued by the Home Department, all citizens have been directed to comply with the orders.
AJK Anti-Terrorism Act
They have been informed that on the occasion of Eid ul-Adha 2025, it is prohibited to provide any kind of financial assistance, donations, or sacrificial hides to organizations declared proscribed under the Anti-Terrorism Act 2014, or to their representatives.
“Citizens should only give their donations and sacrificial hides to organizations that possess a permit from the concerned District Magistrate, thereby proving themselves to be responsible citizens.”
The government has stated that information regarding proscribed organizations or individuals collecting donations and hides using their names should be reported to the district administration and police.
It should be remembered that providing any kind of assistance, financial aid, or facilities to proscribed or under-surveillance organizations is a crime punishable by law, and offenders may face imprisonment, fine, or both.
