KABUL (Kashmir English): The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) has announced the squad for the Asia Cup 2025.
According to the details, experienced leg-spinner Rashid Khan will lead the team.
In addition, Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Ibrahim Zadran, Darwish Rasuli, Siddiqullah Atul, Azmatullah Omarzai, Karim Janat, and Mohammad Nabi are included in the squad.
Gulbadin Naib, Sharafuddin Ashraf, Mohammad Ishaq, Mujeeb-ur-Rehman, AM Ghazanfar, Noor Ahmed, Farid Ahmed Malik, Naveen-ul-Haq, and Fazal-ul-Haq Farooqi will also be part of the squad.
The Afghanistan team will also participate in a tri-nation series with Pakistan and the UAE before the Asia Cup.
The Afghanistan team is in Group B with Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Hong Kong in the Asia Cup.
Earlier, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced a 16-member squad for the forthcoming Asia Cup scheduled to start from September 9 (Tuesday).
According to details, Bangladesh would start their Asia Cup campaign on a high after beating Pakistan 2-1 in their home series. It is important to note that Bangladesh wicketkeeper batter Qazi Nurul Hasan has been included in the squad after almost three years.
