MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): The Azad Kashmir Home Secretariat has directed the police department to take action against unregistered and non-custom vehicles in Muzaffarabad and across Azad Kashmir.
In this regard, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Muzaffarabad has written letters to all police stations in the district to seize vehicles that have not been properly registered or cleared through customs.
The letter stated that the home department has allowed police to seize non-custom and unregistered vehicles under Section 550.
It further added that the unregistered vehicles are being smuggled illegally from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and other areas and are being used across the Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
The move aims to enforce the law and ensure that all vehicles on the roads are properly documented. The police department has been tasked with implementing this decision and taking action against vehicles that do not meet the required standards.
