MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): Assistant Commissioner Muzaffarabad (Rural) Yasir Bukhari visited various markets in Dana on Saturday and inspected various shops to ensure quality of eatables.
On this occasion, the Assistant Commissioner inspected bakeries, hotels, fruit and vegetable shops. Fines were also imposed on those selling substandard items at inflated prices.
According to the Assistant Commissioner, no one will be allowed to sell substandard and unhealthy food items, vegetables, or fruits.
“For us, the health of common people and their children is paramount.”
He said substandard items, including bakery items, are used daily in every household, and common people are directly affected by it. “Therefore, those selling such unhealthy merchandise will not be forgiven under any circumstances. Traders should also take care of people’s health along with their profits.”
