ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): Federal Minister for Railways Muhammad Hanif Abbasi and Raja Mushtaq Minhas, Senior Vice President of PML-N Azad Kashmir, held a meeting on Friday and discussed the political landscape in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) and other matters of mutual interest.
Paying tribute to the martyrs of Kashmir, the Minister for Railways reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering political, moral and diplomatic support for the Kashmiri people.
Speaking on the occasion, Abbasi stated that the journey of public service would carry forward, guided by the vision of Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and under the leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
Raja Mushtaq Minhas extended his heartfelt congratulations to the Federal Minister for the recent innovations introduced in the railway sector, recognizing the progressive steps taken.
He remarked that Nawaz Sharif continues to reside in the hearts of the Kashmiri people, symbolizing enduring trust and connection.
He credited Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif with rescuing the country from deep rooted crisis, reaffirming his leadership during challenging times.
Minhas expressed hope that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) would form the government in Azad Kashmir after winning the next elections.
Calls for early elections in AJK
It is to mention here that senior PML-N Azad Kashmir leader Raja Farooq Haider, few days back, demanded the AJK government to announce early elections. General election are due in AJK next year.
Sardar Farhan Azam, a senior leader of PML-N Azad Kashmir, was also present on the occasion.
Meanwhile, National Tourism Coordinator to the Prime Minister of Pakistan Sardar Yasir Ilyas called on PM AAJK Chaudhry Anwar ul Haq.
During the meeting, both discussed issues of mutual interest particularly promotion tourism in Azad Kashmir.
The duo felt the need to have a comprehensive planning, integrated strategy and joint action plan to boost tourism in the region and create a conducive environment for domestic and foreign investors.
