NEELUM VALLEY (Kashmir English): Like the rest of Azad Jammu and Kashmirs (AJK), the people of Neelum Valley came out in full support of the statement “Kashmir is and will remain the jugular vein of Pakistan.”
Rallies were held across the region to express solidarity with the oppressed Muslims of Indian-occupied Kashmir and to show unwavering support for the Pakistan Army and its top leadership, including the Chief of Army Staff.
The rallies took place in key towns including Athmuqam, Sharda, Kail, and Halmat. Locals from all walks of life participated with great enthusiasm, carrying banners and chanting slogans in favour of Kashmir’s freedom struggle and the Pakistan Army’s role in protecting the country’s borders.
Deputy Commissioner Neelum, Nadeem Ahmed Janjua, while speaking to Kashmir Digital, said that the Pakistan Army is the protector of the nation’s borders and the guarantor of the country’s security. He added that the people of Pakistan, and especially those of Azad Kashmir, stand shoulder to shoulder with the Pakistan Army in every circumstance.
He praised the professionalism and dedication of the army officers and soldiers who work day and night to safeguard the nation. “The bond between the people of Azad Kashmir and the Pakistan Army is unbreakable. It is a relationship built on shared sacrifice, mutual respect, and a common goal, the defence of our homeland,” said the Deputy Commissioner.
DC Janjua also recalled the past, stating that the people of Neelum Valley have not only stood by the army but have also fought alongside them during times of war. “The brave men and women of Neelum Valley have given their blood freely, without asking for anything in return, just as the soldiers of Pakistan have sacrificed their lives for the defence of our borders,” he added.
The rallies were peaceful but powerful, filled with strong emotional support for Kashmir’s freedom movement and deep respect for the armed forces. The people of Neelum once again proved that their loyalty to the nation and its defenders remains firm and unshaken.
