MIRPUR (Kashmir English): Commissioner Mirpur Division Chaudhry Mukhtar Hussain has ordered to ensure security at recreational places across Mirpur district.
As per details, Commissioner Mirpur has directed the District Magistrate Mirpur to take security measures at Asifa Bhutto Park, Jari Kass Park, Lehri Park, and other public parks.
The administrators of all public parks have been directed to ensure reliable security arrangements within a month.
“For this purpose, professional security guards should be deployed in the parks, and CCTV cameras should be installed,” the Commissioner Mirpur noted.
Furthermore, they have been instructed to install awareness boards at appropriate places regarding the presence of hidden cameras in the parks so that all visitors to the parks can be aware of this.
“On completion of the stipulated period, the report should be processed by the concerned Sub-Divisional Magistrate and submitted to the Commissioner office,” it added.
According to the statement issued by PID Mirpur, this initiative is aimed at securingthe public recreational parks located in Mirpur, where thousands of children, girls, men and women come for sightseeing every day, while the numbers increased to countless on occasions.
In order to enhance the joys of life, it is the primary constitutional and legal responsibility of state institutions to ensure the safety of life, property and honor and dignity of those visiting these parks, for which immediate steps must be taken, it added.
