MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): The Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) government has appointed heads of six district development authorities across the state.
According to the notification issued by the Services and General Administration Department, the AJK President has approved the appointment for an initial period of three years on the conditions of the applicable deputation policy.
The officials have been appointed on a secondment basis to the posts of Chairman Development Authority Muzaffarabad (BS-20), Director General Mirpur Development Authority (BS-20), Chairman Development Authority Bagh (BS-20), Chairman Neelum Valley Development Board (BS-20), and Chairman Pearl Development Authority Rawalakot (BS-19).
The appointments include;
- Shafiqur-ur-Rehman as Chairman Development Authority Muzaffarabad
- Ijaz Ahmed Cheema as Chairman Development Authority Kotli
- Aurangzeb Khan as Chairman Development Authority Bagh
- Mahmud Mumtaz Rathore as Director General Development Authority Mirpur
- Raja Amjad Siddique as Chairman Neelum Valley Development Board
- Muhammad Nadeem Sarwar as Chairman Pearl Development Authority Rawalakot
During the period of secondment, the officers will be entitled to receive salary, allowances, TA/DA, etc., and deputation allowance from the relevant development agencies as per the prevailing rules.
During the period, officers will be bound to pay GPF and Group Insurance to the Accounts Department, Azad Jammu, and Kashmir.
The officers will be bound to deposit the amount of the loan taken for the construction of houses, etc., in the government treasury as per the fixed installments.
Furthermore, the Borrowing Agency will be liable to pay pension contribution to the Controller General of Accounts, Azad Jammu and Kashmir as per the prevailing rules during the period.
“The period of deputation will be counted from the date of attendance in the concerned development authority,” the notification read.
