RAWALAKOT (Kashmir English): The Azad Kashmir government has been working on various projects to improve the living standards of people of Kashmir.
Commissioner Poonch Division Masood-ur-Rehman stated that the Rawalakot is rich in natural beauty and
the Azad Kashmir government is providing millions of rupees to improve the standard of living of the people.
He mentioned that the government is planning to upgrade the Drek water supply scheme and make the water supply scheme Chahar flowing so that the people can get facilities at their doorstep.
He said that funds will be provided for the completion of the District Hospital Rawalakot, while the Azad Kashmir government is releasing an amount of Rs 20 crore for the District Jail Rawalakot.
We are taking practical steps to provide basic facilities to this region of Poonch as well as to promote tourism, Masood-ur-Rehman added.
The meeting was attended by several key councilors of the Municipal Corporation Rawalakot, which included Sardar Aamir Rafique, Shahid Rashid, Khawaja Sajjad, Irfan Zarif, Waheed Ashraf, while Deputy Director Poonch Division Saadullah Khan and Xin Public Health Tahir Muzaffar Khan Malik were also present.
Additionally, he hi lighted the importance of dialogue and stated that all problems can be solved only through dialogue, councilors should play their role in this.
Resolving the problems and issues of the people by considering them as personal problems is among my priorities, he added.
Moreover, according to Masood-ur-Rehman area of Poonch is no less than paradise, but the desired objectives will be achieved only if we all contribute to the construction of the country so that this area can be truly beautiful and adorned with facilities.
