SUDHANOTI (Kashmir English): In a successful operation to save Azad Kashmir from a major disaster, Sudhanoti Police arrested a Fitna-ul-Khawarij terrorist from Azad Pattan, located on the border of Punjab and Azad Kashmir.
Addressing the media, Superintendent of Police Sudhanoti Raja Nadeem Arif said that the police arrested terrorist ‘Saqib Ghani’ and a large number of weapons, explosives, medicines, and literature related to terrorism were recovered.
During the interrogation, the militant revealed to the police that he was associated with Dr. Abdul Rauf, a Fitna-ul-Khawarij terrorist active in Afghanistan.
The accused confessed that he was involved in the murder of a police constable at a check post in Shujaabad and the attack on the Motorway Police in Sangjani, while he was also planning major terrorist acts in Azad Kashmir.
Deputy Commissioner Sudhanoti Sardar Umar Farooq said that parents should keep an eye on their children as terrorists are trying to lure the younger generation.
Police have initiated further investigations and raids are being conducted to arrest other possible suspects.
