KAIL (Kashmir English): A theft suspect has been arrested by the Police in Neelum. The suspect arrested is a Karachi theft suspect, Imtiaz, in Kail after he fled with stolen goods worth millions of rupees, following a tip and a raid by law enforcement.
Officials from the Karachi police apprehended an accused who stole multi-million-rupees worth of property throughout Karachi. Imtiaz is suspected to be a member of the extensive criminal gang that conducted extensive business and institutional property burglaries across Karachi. Executing a tip they received, the law enforcement officers strategically carried out an operation to capture the suspect in Kail where he was hiding.
SP Neelum Khawaja Siddique gave orders to SHO Zulfiqar Ali who searched ASI Ishtiaq Ahmed, Nazir Ahmed Khan, Abdul Majeed DFC, Abdul Rauf and Qamar Zaman. The police service led Imtiaz to the local station after his successful medical procedure for further interrogation.
Imtiaz carried out several valuable thefts throughout Karachi together with other members as established by police. The illegal possessions along with money seized during the crime operations were evaluated to have a total worth of thousands of rupees. Following these criminal offences, he escaped to Kail to avoid arrest.
Official sources had tracked his activities because they received information about his possible locations. The police consider this breakthrough arrest to signify progress against organized criminal activity.
Investigation is ongoing and further arrests are expected. Law enforcement agencies continue to actively investigate while they work to identify and locate other gang members through ongoing efforts. The suspect remains under police detention and legal processes against him have started.
