NORTH WAZIRISTAN (Kashmir English): In a major success, the security forces have gunned down the most wanted terrorist leader, Umar alias Jan Mir alias Saqib Tor, along with 4 other terrorists, in an intelligence-based operation in Spinwam, North Waziristan, on Thursday.
According to the security forces, the Khawarij commander Umar had a bounty of Rs 3 million on his head. He was the mastermind behind several terrorist attacks on security forces and civilians.
Khariji Umar had laid underground bunkers, tunnels, and booby traps in the area around the Bobali Mosque in Spanwam, security sources added.
Security forces surrounded the terrorists under a coordinated strategy and killed them, according to the sources.
According to experts, the killing of the terrorist leader of Fatna al-Kharij will restore peace in the area. The killing of the Kharji leader in the intelligence-based operation is a major blow to the terrorists of Fitna Al-Khawarij.
The action against Fitna Al-Khawarij and Fitna Al-Hindustan under Operation Azm-e-Istehkam is successfully continuing, sources said.
