LAHORE (Kashmir English): The Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has launched the Rahmat Card Program as a major welfare initiative, which provides direct financial assistance to widows and families who raise orphaned children throughout the province.
The scheme targets vulnerable households that require assistance with their current financial difficulties.
Through this scheme, a total of 50,000 deserving families will benefit from the initiative. This scheme will help widows receive Rs. 100,000 each.
Orphan families will also be granted Rs. 100,000 per household. Beneficiaries will be identified through the Punjab Socio-Economic Registry (PSER).
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following conditions:
- Must belong to a low-income household
- Must be a permanent resident of Punjab
- Government employees and pensioners are not eligible
Additional Requirements:
- Widows must have their marital status updated on the CNIC
- Orphan families must provide a valid B-Form for the child
- The mobile number used for registration must be registered on the applicant’s CNIC
How to Apply
Eligible individuals can apply through the following methods:
- Online Portal: https://rahmatcard.punjab.gov.pk/
- Mobile App: CM Punjab Rahmat Card application
Applicants can register through either platform and submit their request for financial assistance.
Selection Process
- Beneficiaries will be shortlisted using data from the Punjab Socio-Economic Registry (PSER)
- Final selection will be based on district-wise quotas
- Applicants not listed in PSER will have their data verified through NADRA
Payment Method
- Financial assistance will be transferred via JazzCash wallet accounts
- The Punjab government will cover all service charges
- Beneficiaries will receive the full amount without any deductions
The Rahmat Card Program reflects the government’s effort to extend timely financial support to those most in need, ensuring transparency and ease of access through a structured digital system.
