MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): Members of the Poultry Association have launched a protest over the non-acceptance of their demands, blocking the Kohala-Muzaffarabad Road at the Kohala for all types of traffic.
According to details, the protesters closed the highway after negotiations with the administration reportedly failed to produce results.
The blockade disrupted traffic flow between Muzaffarabad and adjoining areas, leaving passengers stranded and creating long traffic queues.
The leaders of the Poultry Association said that the Muzaffarabad administration had announced to form a committee to resolve the issues within ten days, but despite the passage of the stipulated period, no practical progress has been made by the committee.
According to the association, instead of resolving the issues, the administration is registering FIRs against their members, which is a condemnable move.
The leaders made it clear that the protest will continue and the Kohala Road will be closed until their demands are accepted.
