LAHORE (Kashmir English):  The chairman of the Matric Board, Ghulam Hussain, established new regulations for examination centers during the current ninth and tenth grade examinations to create a dignified and safe space for female students.

The testing instructions state that no cheating incidents have been documented in examination centers designated for female students.

The authorities received an absolute order that prohibited them from requesting female candidates to take off their veils, which included burqas and abayas, at every testing location.

The chairman declared that all personnel who participated in the practice of making students take off their veils would face severe disciplinary measures.

The director prohibited the assignment of male invigilators to girls’ testing locations because of his intention to create an atmosphere that protects female students’ privacy and comfort during their examinations.

Govt’s free skill training for Matric, Inter failed students

The government has announced a free skill training program for students who have failed or have compartmentalized in Matric and Intermediate exams.

The initiative aims to provide students with skills that will help them find better job opportunities. The government has instructed the education boards to inform failing students about the free skill courses via SMS so that the maximum number of youth can benefit from this program.

The Skills Development and Entrepreneurship Department will provide young people with free training in multiple skill areas. Students can enroll in different free skill courses through online registration.

Board officials have also been directed to promote the program extensively on social media and submit reports regarding its implementation. The officials have ordered that this program should receive high priority because they want to train as many students as possible while helping them find respectable jobs.
