Iran welcomes Pakistan’s diplomatic role to ease regional tensions

ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): The Assistant Foreign Minister of Iran and Director General for South Asia at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mohammad Reza Bahrami, expressed his appreciation for the diplomatic work that Pakistan conducted to reduce regional tensions.

The Iranian official stated that the Islamic Republic of Iran supports Pakistan’s efforts to stop what he called continuous American and Zionist regime attacks, which violate Iran’s legitimate rights.

He stated that diplomatic relations between countries now possess greater political and regional significance for solving international disputes.

According to him, these efforts can play a key role in promoting peace, reducing tensions, and restoring stability in the region. The remarks highlight Iran’s support for a dialogue-driven approach.

20 Pakistani ships to cross Hormuz

Earlier, Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar said that “the Government of Iran has agreed to allow 20 more ships under the Pakistani flag to pass through the Strait of Hormuz.”

Dar posted on X that “I am pleased to share a great news that the Government of Iran has agreed to allow 20 more ships under the Pakistani flag to pass through the Strait of Hormuz; two ships will cross the Strait daily.”

Ishaq Dar added that “This is a welcome and constructive gesture by Iran and deserves appreciation. It is a harbinger of peace and will help usher stability in the region.”

He noted that ” This positive announcement marks a meaningful step toward peace and will strengthen our collective efforts in that direction. Dialogue, diplomacy, and such confidence-building measures are the only way forward.”
