MUMBAI (Kashmir English): In the fifth match of the ICC T20 World Cup, a thrilling contest took place between England and Nepal, in which English defeated the Nepali team by just 4 runs.

This match remained not only exciting until the end but it also thoroughly entertained cricket fans.

World Cup Group C match

England won the toss and decided to bat first. In the allotted 20 overs, the England team scored 184 runs for the loss of 7 wickets.

Brilliant innings from Jacob Bethell and Harry Brook led the team to a strong total, with Jacob Bethell scoring 55 and Harry Brook scoring 53 runs.

From Nepal’s side, Dipendra Singh and Nandan Yadav took two wickets each, putting England’s batting in trouble for a while.

In response to the target of 185 runs, the Nepal team also put up a strong fight. Dipendra Singh scored 44, Rohit 39, and Lokesh 39 runs, and the team also hit several beautiful sixes.

The match remained extremely exciting until the end, as in the last over, Nepal needed 10 runs. England’s bowler Sam Curran bowled brilliantly and allowed Nepal to score only 5 runs in the last over, and England won by 4 runs.

For England, Liam Dawson took 2 wickets, while Sam Curran, Jofra Archer, and Luke Wood took one wicket each.
