NEW DELHI (Kashmir English): Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed his grief over the deaths of army personnel in Doda, Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJ&K).

“deeply anguished” by the incident and praised the bravery of the soldiers, Modi said in a post shared on X.

He added that their service to the nation “will be remembered forever” and wished a speedy recovery for the injured. Modi also assured that all possible support was being provided to those affected.

According to defense analysts, Narendra Modi, who has blamed Pakistan for most of India’s failures in the past, seems cautious about naming Pakistan in his statements this time.

Analysts say that this behavior gives the impression that, after learning the lessons from the defeat in the May war, the Indian Prime Minister is avoiding direct blame and has probably learned from past experiences.

The defense analysts also observe that Narendra Modi’s statements reveal that he is recognizing the ongoing situation in Doda, IIOJ&K as a freedom struggle.

Analysts say that the Indian Prime Minister’s statements indicate that he is acknowledging that the people of Jammu and Kashmir have rejected Article 370 and want to fight for their freedom.
