ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): The two-day Islamabad Women Gala kicked off at Lok Virsa in Islamabad on Saturday.

The venue was presenting a look of a bustling hub of entrepreneurship, creativity and community spirit.

‘Let’s Grow Together’ has organised the event, which is dedicated to empowering women by providing them with a platform to expand their businesses and connect with a wider audience.

The event is a perfect platform for women to showcase their talent. With more than 125 women entrepreneurs, artisans and innovators from across the country, the event presents an exclusive display of ‘Made in Pakistan’ products ranging from textiles, handmade jewelry and organic skincare products to artisanal food, fashion accessories and home decor.

The gala is not just a marketplace but a movement aimed at women’s financial independence. The event helps promote the importance of supporting local businesses.

Slogan of Islamabad Gala

The Islamabad Women Gala’s slogan “Buy from your own people” reinforces the importance of investing in local craftsmanship and talent.

The event is not just about business, it’s a complete entertainment package, especially for families. On the opening day, a large number of people were seen exploring the diverse stalls, interacting with entrepreneurs, and enjoying live demonstration of traditional crafts.

The food court attracted food-lovers with its mouth-watering selection of fusion and traditional cuisines, while children delighted in fun games, creative activities and interactive workshops.

The visitors termed the gala an amazing event where women entrepreneurs are getting the recognition they deserve.

A visitor, Saadia Abbas, praised the variety and termed the event a perfect weekend outing. “Everyone has something including food, shopping and even live demonstrations. It’s a wonderful initiative that should happen more often,” she said.

With an impressive lineup of vendors, a lively atmosphere and a strong message of empowerment, the Gala is proving to be a must-visit event, she added.

The gala is a celebration of women’s resilience and creativity, aiming to provide home-based entrepreneurs with the visibility and support they need to grow their businesses, according to the event organizers.

The festival will remain open to all on the second and final day today (Sunday), offering a unique chance to experience the power of women-led businesses and celebrate local talent in a fun and festive environment.

The event promises even more excitement, networking opportunities, and a celebration of women’s achievements.
