GUANGZHOU, China (Kashmir English): Work is underway worldwide on vehicles powered by eco-friendly fuel instead of traditional fossil fuels, and China is leading the way.
Electric vehicles are important among these, and now the first such SUV electric hybrid vehicle has been developed that can travel hundreds of miles on a single charge. Chinese company Xpeng has introduced the G7 SUV.
This SUV has a 55.8 kWh battery pack and a small petrol engine, for which the vehicle is provided with a 60-liter fuel tank. This vehicle can travel 1058 miles on electricity and petrol without stopping.
Unlike traditional hybrid systems that use an electric motor and small battery packs, the G7 relies on a battery pack and a petrol engine that also charges the batteries while the vehicle is traveling.
According to the company, this vehicle can travel the distance from Beijing to Shanghai, or from Karachi to Lahore (approximately), on a single charge without stopping.
Along with the G7, the company has also introduced the P7 Plus sedan, which also uses super extended range technology like the SUV.
The company stated that the battery of this sedan can travel up to 267 miles on a single charge, while the total range is 963 miles.
G7 SUV price
The G7 SUV is priced at 195,800 Yuan, while the P7 Plus will cost 180,800 Yuan to purchase.
The company is planning to sell these vehicles in several countries outside of China.
These vehicles will be offered in Europe, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and Africa to compete with Tesla.
