Police file case against PTI protestors for blockade, anti-state slogans

LAHORE (Kashmir English): The Police have registered a case against PTI protestors for blocking Liberty Chowk last night, raising anti-state slogans.

According to the First Information Report (FIR), “unknown people were standing in the middle of the road, shouting hateful slogans against the government of Pakistan and blocking the road, making it difficult for the public to pass.”

When the police tried to disperse the protesters and open the road, 13 people were arrested while others managed to escape.

The arrested PTI protestors include Zameen Khan Niazi, Amanullah, Jahanzeb, Ahmed Raza, Ali Rehman, Hassan, Sajjad, Hafeez, Muhammad Ehtesham, Aamir, Muhammad Wajid, Abdul Wakil,  Zakir, and Zameer.

“The accused above have committed the crime under Sections 290/291 of the IPC by blocking the road and creating difficulty in the passage of the public,” as per the FIR.
