DUBAI (Kashmir English): Pakistan lifts the Under-19 Asia Cup by defeating India in the final.
In the final of the Under-19 Asia Cup being played in Dubai, India won the toss and decided to field against Pakistan.

Chasing 348 runs, the Indian team was bundled out for 156 runs. Devendran scored 36, and Suryavanshi scored 26 runs for India; Ali Raza took 4 wickets for 42 runs.
Pakistan scored 347 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in the stipulated 50 overs.
Among the prominent batsmen from Pakistan, opener Hamza Zahoor was dismissed for 18 runs.
Usman Khan 35, Ahmed Hussain 56, while Sameer Minhas scored a brilliant 172 runs with 17 fours and 9 sixes in 113 balls and was caught out.
Dipesh Devendran took 3 wickets, while Khelan Patel and Hanil Patel took 2 wickets each.
Pakistan captain Farhan Yousuf says that the Green Shirts will enter the field with full preparation and will try to win the title. The morale of the team is high and the players are determined to perform well in the final.
Pakistan’s U-19 team has been performing brilliantly in this tournament. In the semi-final, the Green Shirts defeated Bangladesh by 8 wickets, while India defeated Sri Lanka in the other semi-final.

Interestingly, Pakistan has won the ICC U-19 World Cup twice but has yet to win the Asia Cup trophy.
However, Pakistan was the joint champion with India in the 2012 U-19 Asia Cup.
