ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): The Ex-Servicemen Society, an organization of former military officers, has expressed serious reservations over the recent policies and statements of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).

The organization claimed in a statement that the PTI leadership is “only interested in gaining power” and is targeting state institutions for political gain.

According to them, the statements being made by the PTI against national security institutions are tantamount to open confrontation.

The society also strongly condemned the “negative propaganda campaign” against the Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir on social media and other platforms.

The statement said that some elements are trying to weaken the institutions by targeting the country’s top military leadership, which “may harm national unity and national security.”

According to representatives of the society, such Propaganda reinforces the narrative of enemy countries and terrorist groups.

He added that responsible politics is needed in the current political situation, but the PTI leadership is adopting an “irresponsible” approach.

He claims that the party’s narrative is tantamount to “playing into the hands of India and terrorist organizations.” However, no evidence has been presented to the public in this regard.

It should be noted that there has been no reaction from the PTI on this statement so far. According to political analysts, such harsh statements can create further tension in the current political tension in the country.
