LAHORE (Kashmir English): Sui Northern Gas has issued a new gas load-shedding schedule for Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The schedule from December to February allows consumers to receive gas in three intervals, enabling people to prepare their meals within these intervals.
As per the new routine, the two provinces will receive gas from 5:30 AM to 8:30 AM for breakfast, and from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM. In the evening, the gas will be supplied from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM to enable consumers to cook dinner.
The officials said there would be no load-shedding of the industrial sector, and yet the gas demand in winter has increased considerably. SNGPL explained further that gas is available in the system and there is no shortage. However, since gas is expensive, consumers should use it according to their needs.
