KHURRAM (Kashmir English): Security forces have foiled an attempt by Khawarij to infiltrate into Pakistan at the Pak-Afghan border in Kurram district.
According to sources, on November 29, 2025, suspicious movements of Khawarij were seen near the Pak-Afghan border, who were trying to enter Pakistan.
Security forces took timely action and targeted these people with heavy and light weapons.
After a sudden counterattack, the armed infiltrators panicked and fled towards Afghanistan.
DG ISPR had said in an interview with senior journalists on November 25 that Afghan forces provide cover fire to the Khawarij and smugglers.
Afghan forces sometimes engage Pakistani posts on the border by firing so that the attention of the Pakistan Army is drawn to their fire, and in the meantime, the Khawarij and smugglers cross the border.
Mysterious movements have been seen on the Pak-Afghan border in Kurram for the past few days, which is being closely monitored by Pakistani forces and intelligence agencies, as per sources.
According to sources, any kind of adventure by Afghan forces or Khawarij from the border will be responded to with an iron fist.
